The cast gift

Every spring millions of men are coaxed, threatened, asked, and coerced into cleaning the garage and house.  It is also know as spring cleaning.  This year my wife and I started in the garage.  As we pulled all the garbage out of the garage and sorted it into piles of keep, trash, and goodwill, I came across several custom Jones soda bottles.

I was immediately asked if I needed these.  To be honest I didn't.  The contents of the bottles were several years old, so, I was definitely not going to drink it.  However, these bottles had lots of sentimental value.

They were a cast gift to me from a 2003 production of "Art" that I directed.  During that show the cast, and crew all drank a lot of Jones soda.  So, the fact that they had Jones create a custom label was really cool. Also, this group of people really means a lot to me.  There are those special shows, and casts that just stick with you, and always hold a special place in your heart.  This is one of those.

So, as I took those bottles to the trash I thought, "I need to hold on to these for posterity."  The picture above is my effort to remember and preserve that time in my life.  I just wanted to share it with you too.
